These skull designs are carved through the pearl nacre, exposing the white nucleus.
Random carvings. No two carved pearls are the same. The Tahitian Tattoo design works great for pendants, bangles, etc. These are real Tahitian Pearls that have been hand carved. Each design takes about 30 min to 1 hour to carve into the pearl. Sometimes these pearls are known as Tattoo Pearls or Carved Pearls.
The grade of pearl is A in a grading scale of A to AAA.
